IUCN World Congress in Marseille

Joana Guerrin, Julien Pelet and Ludovic Drapier attended the IUCN World Conservation in Congress held in Marseille in early September 2021.

Three members of the research consortium traveled to Marseille to participate at the IUCN World Conservation Congress. They attended multiple sessions and events related to NbS. This worldwide event represented a unique opportunity to meet and engage with multiple stakeholders coming from various backgrounds, countries, and institutions and to observe firsthand the use of the NbS concept. Invited by the IUCN French Committee, Joana Guerrin presented the research project in a session dedicated to the management of natural hazards while Freddy Rey moderated a session entitled "Implementing Nature-based Solutions: a Methodological Framework and Lessons Learned from Practitioners".
