Presentation at the 3rd International Symposium "Climate Change & Water" in Tours

31 May 2022

Tours

Antoine Brochet and Joana Guerrin presented a paper on the Camargue case study at the 3rd International Symposium "Climate Change & Water" in the city of Tours.

From May 31 to June 2, 2022, was organized the 3rd International Symposium "Climate Change & Water" in the city of Tours (France), under the auspices of the MiDi research network (Habitats & Diversity).

This congress, entirely in English, gathered researchers from several continents and from a wide range of disciplines (BioGeoSciences and Human and Social Sciences). Organized in different thematic sessions (hydro-climatic modeling, water governance, drought adaptation, flood risk, food security, etc.), this conference provided an opportunity to review the state of knowledge on the  different forms of impacts of climate change via its effect on water.

Antoine Brochet and Joana Guerrin presented a paper entitled "From riskscapes of flooding and marine submersion in the Rhone delta to climate change adaptation strategies". We reported on the modification of planning strategies associated with the implementation of a Nature-based Solution for adaptation to the risk of marine submersion in the Rhône delta (Camargue - France).
